Impress Group starts business as an advertising firm called Impress Ltd.

1983
The group gains recognition as an industrial enterprise. Success in the ready-made garment sector lays the groundwork for the group’s diversification and expansion in other areas.
- 1990s

1996
Impress Group enters the electronic media business by forming Impress Telefilm Limited, which starts commercial operations in February.

1999
Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited is established. It produces the first product by the end of the year. Sales begin formally in January 2000.

Channel i goes on air on the first day of October.

2008
Impress Group establishes Ananda Alo Ltd. The company sets a milestone in the history of Bangla periodicals by publishing the fortnightly cine and entertainment magazine titled “Ananda Alo”.

Impress Group acquires a majority stake in Newtex Ltd, taking over Karnaphuli Fashion Ltd (KFL), Karnaphuli Knitting and Dyeing Ltd (KKDL) and Newtex Design Ltd (NDL). The two groups rename the venture Impress-Newtex Composite Textiles Ltd (INCTL).

In recognition of its compliance with good manufacturing practices, Incepta receives a GMP certificate. Incepta maintains its position as the second largest pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh.

Incepta Pharmaceuticals introduces vaccines for humans to the market, becoming the first Bangladeshi company to manufacture vaccines.

Incepta Vaccine Ltd was launched as the first human vaccine manufacturing company in Bangladesh with the prime objective of providing vaccines at an affordable cost.

Incepta launches 52 products, seven of which hit the Bangladeshi market for the first time.

INCTL receives an award as the supplier showing the most potential from Cotton On Group on October 22.

Impress Aviation Limited officially launches its operations.

ICL a Wealth Management Company, focusing in Primary and Secondary Investment Management and also providing advisory services.

Incepta Vaccine Ltd, a subsidiary of Incepta Pharmaceuticals, inaugurates a bulk vaccine manufacturing facility at Savar on July 28, an important step towards reducing import dependency.

Next Spaces Limited has signed the first subcontract for the soil stabilization work at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Project.

Reaz Ahmed Khan, Chairman
is a dynamic and reputed entrepreneur with experience of over 42 years who utilizes creativity, leadership and teamwork to design and execute solutions that create and maximize shareholders’ wealth. Mr. Khan, a business graduate, is the founder of Impress Group, which started operation in 1978 as a proprietary concern. Presently, Impress Group (IG) is a leading and well-regarded business conglomerate in Bangladesh. Under the leadership of Mr. Khan, the Group has achieved commendable growth by translating its skills and experience into new markets across product segments, improved tech services, and geographical boundaries. The Group’s successful diversification has been possible mainly due to Reaz Ahmed Khan’s strategic vision to develop and operate individual businesses. He ensures flexibility of individual company as standalone operations and allows sustaining the group’s targeted growth. The group’s multifarious business offers unrivalled level of professionalism in every individual concerns, making it stand apart from rest due to its exceptional management skills and understanding of market and customer needs. Tariful Islam Taskeen, Managing Director & CEO
having an extensive experience in Finance and Textiles Operations as Managing Director & CEO of the Company. He has obtained his Masters in Management from University of Dhaka. Before joining INCTL he had years of experience in one of the biggest conglomerate named Beximco, Delta Composite and Ashik Composite. Mr. Taskeen has been a key leader behind the effectiveness and success of INCTL over the last 10 years. His entrepreneurial mind-set and the well-rounded expertise (textiles operations, financial analysis, planning, maintenance, supply chain etc.) are valuable assets to the Company.
Javed Ahmed Khan, Director
started his career with Impress Group since the year 1987, having bright experience for more than 32 years in the area of Garments manufacturing, currently serving the company as Director. Mr. Javed has comprehensive experience in the field of Garments operations and able to lead high profile team. He accomplished his Bachelor degree from the University of Dhaka.
Nafis Ud Doula, Director
started his career with Impress Group since the year 1993, having an ingenious experience of 26 years and currently serving as Director. He has had the caliber to motivate the buyers in any point of negotiation having high inter personal skill. He has a good track record to on board valued buyers around the globe to the company. He accomplished his Bachelor degree from the University of Dhaka.
Reasat Khan, Director
started his career with INCTL in the year 2013 and brings along with him 7 years hands-on experience and currently serving as Director. He brings youthful enthusiasm into the business and has demonstrated the capacity to engage in the challenging nature of textiles business. He accomplished his MBA degree from the North South University.
